MAIZE HUSK AND GRAIN SILAGE BALES
A by product of hybrid maize seed production this baled silage is made from maize husks and grain which falls off the cobs during the dehusking process. Maize husk silage is a palatable product which is an ideal fibre source for a high concentrate diet. It can act as a bulk filler for wintering breeding cows or as the base of a ration for any class of cattle when feed is short
Each bale weighs 650 to 750kg at an average dry matter of 60% ( 390 to 450 kg DM/bale)

The product has been fine chopped and run through a kernel crusher to allow for better feed utilisation of the starch in the maize grain.
