Description
Rye clover silage is a type of silage made from a mixture of ryegrass and clover. It is a popular feed source for dairy cows in New Zealand due to its high protein content, which can help improve milk production. It is typically fed to cows during the winter months when fresh pasture is scarce, or as a supplement to pasture or hay during the grazing season.   In addition to its high protein content, rye clover silage is also high in fiber, which can help maintain rumen health in cows. It is also relatively low in fat, making it a good choice for cows that are prone to obesity or other health issues related to high-fat diets.   Overall, rye clover silage is a valuable feed source for dairy cows in New Zealand. When fed as part of a balanced diet, it can help improve milk production and maintain cow health and wellbeing.
